CMA Examinations

Each exam part will consist of 100 multiple choice questions and two 30-minuteessay questions. You will have 3 hours to complete the multiple choice section and1 hour to complete the essays. The essays will be presented after you have completed the multiple choice section of the exam. Once you complete and exit the multiple choice section of the exam, you can not go back. You must remain in the essay section to complete the exam. You can expect to see 75% of points coming from the multiple choice questions and 25% on essay. You must answer at least 50% of the multiple-choice questions correctly to be eligible to take the essay section. You will not receive immediate pass/fail results because the essay questions will be graded off-line. The scores for the multiple choice section will be added to the scores of the essay section for a total weighted score of pass/fail reflected in a scaled score for the entire part. Candidates are not required to “pass” both sections;the total score determines pass/fail status. The scaled score is from 0-500 and the candidate has to achieve at least 360 scores on the scale (72%). Exam results will be posted to your online profile approximately six weeks from the end of the month in which you tested. Candidate must pass Part 1 and Part 2 of the CMA exam with 3 years of entry. Candidates also must register for an exam with first 12 months of entering the program. The CMA examination is given in a computer-based format, and is offered at Prometric Testing Centers located in the major cities of Pakistan including Lahore at FC College. Exams are offered during three testing windows i.e January/February – May/June -September/October. You can register for an exam on-line.
